From Chester-le-street take the A693 to Stanley. From Stanley take the A6076 signed for Sunniside/Gateshead. At the bottom of the bank out of Stanley you will see a Garage and some Bungalows on the right. Turn right into a Housing estate then 1st left. You will pass the BlueBell Inn and a few metres past there turn right onto a track which will lead to the lakes.ht.
